Ravenwood is one of the oldest Belted Galloway breeders still in operation in California. Nestled at the beginning of the Sierra foothill “Gold Country” within the greater Sacramento metro area, we are easily located off  I-80 enroute to Reno, Tahoe and San Francisco. Since 1994 we have quietly been building a herd which offers both the traditional Scottish characteristics, and larger frames needed by many Western cattlemen. To this end, and to expand our gene pool, we have imported animals from as far away as Wyoming and North Carolina, while keeping two herd sires. We offer both black and white and dun and white weanlings each year and recently have been able to offer bred heifers and occasionally mature cows. We are committed to promoting our breed and try to work with newcomers through networking in order to better satisfy and meet a potential breeders needs. Feel free to call or perhaps drop by to view our progress.

Howdy,
Have had Belted Galloway for about 18 years. We are located just west over the first ridge from Loveland, CO.  Have helped start many people out getting their herd started.  Present Herd bull is Aten's Doug and in past have been using Rousseau Farms Diesel the Champion Galloway Bull in 2008 at the Denver Stock Show.  Have sized down from 110 head to the 20's now.  They have served me well.  Always have a few for sale will talk to anyone about the breed.  Used to sell as high as 15 head of steers butchered.  Large demand for the meat.  Good animals!  Don and Mary

We are located in the very NorthEast corner of Kansas. Currently we have a nice base herd of 10 Registered purebred Belted Galloway cows. Our herd sire is Blossom Ridge Harley who passes his wonderful, docile temperament on to his calves. We do not crossbreed. Our goal at Bear Springs Farm is to raise Registered Belties who are kind and gentle in disposition while fulfilling their role of being a dual purpose cow. In doing so, we choose well built females who calve easily and perform their maternal duties with great pride. Our calves are hardy living up to their Scottish heritage. We do have an occasional animal for sale as breeding stock or beef for your table.  Inquiries are always welcomed at Bear Springs Farm.

Colin and Jackie Whitley

OKAY! Farm and Home School is located 60 minutes southeast of Wichita and 15 minutes north of the Oklahoma border. We are transplanted Okies who run an all-boys school. After living in five states, we are ready to call Kansas 'home'! In 1994 we were fortunate to purchase a quarter section east of Winfield in Liberty Township. Two years later we purchased the last of Bob White's herd -- two cows, one bull and one heifer calf. Today we have a small herd of black Belties consisting of two bulls, four cows, four heifers, two steers and one bull calf. We are looking for more ground to lease and split the herd. We have had steers butchered and have had no trouble selling the Oreo Burgers. At this point we are building our herd.

UTAH

HOBBIE HORSE FARM

Richard and Emily Williams
Avon, Utah
hhf14@pcu.net

We have a small hobby farm specializing in Gala Apples and a small Galloway herd. We are one of the few in Utah to have the Galoway breed. We are hoping to turn over 10 calves a year from our operation, and have been at it 9 years. The Galloway herd enjoys any leftover apples that we can spare. They are a very compatible product! Let us know if we can answer any questions about our apples or our Galloway Apple Eaters. We now have both black and white and red and white Galloways for sale.
