The Breed ...

Holbrook Hill Farm is dedicated to promoting world class genetics through a diverse breeding program. Emphasis remains on maintaining the traditional physical and performance characteristics of the Belted Galloway which have evolved over centuries to produce a hardy, self-sufficient, adaptable breed of beef cattle.

The breed fell out of favor around the turn of the last century, when tallow and soap byproducts were as sought after as the beef itself. Reduced backfat yielded very low byproduct output. Today this reduced fat characteristic has placed the Belted Galloway in the forefront of superior naturally lean beef.

The Sires ...

The title 'Senior Herd Sire in residence' belongs to ALDERMERE LOPEZ. Gone now, but at 12 years of age, remained fit as a king.

Lopez earned the Reserve Championship at the 1994 World Beef Expo. He was a bull of great gentleness and strength with good length and thickness--traits which are consistently passed to his progeny.

Junior Herd Sire is HOLBROOK HILL FERNANDO--a young bull of extraordinary thickness and depth with classic conformation.
