A PERFECT new red bull calf at Diane and Homer Mohn's Hide-A-Way Hill Ranch in Canton, TX. Major Red, 3 days old, has his photo session monitored by mom Windcrest Sally and a protective 'aunty.'
DEVIN PROCK at the Fryeburg Fair with Prock Ridge Alaskan Rain.
The late A.H. CHATFIELD, JR. at age 98 out on pasture patrol at Aldermere Farm, Rockport, ME. The fine Aldermere herd has provided foundation stock to Belted Galloway breeders for almost 50 years. Above, part of the herd is newly released to summer pastures. (Aldermere photos courtesy of Pat Hanbery, Photographer, Bradenton, FL.)
BACK FORTY QUART-O-WAY ALBERT T., sired by Stonecroft Jupiter. This little fellow at 12 days of age is long and well put together, and will make a fine herd sire one day. He was named for the late Albert Tietig of Stonecroft Farm, sadly missed by Beltie breeders. (Photo courtesy of Fred Ciaburri, Shepherdsville, KY.)
GLENNBROOK CHARLOTTE, the porcine infiltrator, has convinced all members of this herd that she belongs. Although she weighs a mere 120 lbs. and has problems keeping her belly off the ground, Charlotte is by far the brightest of the bunch. At night she slips back under the fence and sleeps in her warm little bed in the barn. (Courtesy of Ted Leisenring, PA.)
HAV-A-BELT GIRLS enjoying Wisconsin spring. We asked Vic and Joyce Eggleston what they fed these tubs -- the reply was, just good hay! (Photo courtesy of Joyce Eggleston, Elkhart Lake, WI)
