Angel Creek farm is located in the heart of Iowa just west of DesMoines, two miles north of Interstate 80. We have a small herd of cattle, 15 to 20 animals most of the time. Our black Belted Galloways have Green Arpents, Timothy Bray, Big Creek and Bolebec Controller linage. Our cattle are registered or appendix recorded. Our Belties are pasture raised and grass-fed, occasionally they receive grain during the harsh winter months. We generally have bulls, cows and heifers for sale since we do not have enough pasture to maintain a large herd. All our animals are docile and easy to care for. They are a family project and are cared for daily. We welcome requests for information or pictures.

Malabar's foundation animals are Green Arpents, known for correct type, hardiness and purity. All of our registered animals are fullblood. We are committed to sustainable agriculture, using limited grain and minimal facilities. We have high standards for herd selection. Our goal is to produce cows which calve easily, are good mothers, and raise their calves efficiently on grass. Bulls are selected for productivity, purity of bloodlines, and conformation. Although the unique appearance is what attracts people to Belted Galloways, the final test is in the efficient production of a high quality meat product. We also have a small herd of commercial, crossbred Belties.

We  are located on the shores of Lake Michigan between Muskegon and Traverse City. We searched out and bought our first  Belted Galloways in 1997. It was our goal to stay small in numbers, but raise some real quality breeding animals. We kept the numbers to 4 brood cows and a great bull.  Herd sire Anderson Hill Quadruler was Grand Champion Bull at World Beef Expo in 2001. Our Josie was Reserve Grand Champion the same  year and again in 2002 with her first calf Molly at her side. We are exhibitors at Michigan Beef Expo in April each year at East Lansing, MI.
