In 2004 the Belted Galloway Society’s Standards Committee published an excellent 4-page Selection Guide which includes drawings as well as definitive text recommendations on color, skin and hair coat, conformation, and more.

The Guide is intended to assist cattle breeders and buyers in selecting quality Belted Galloways. 

Clear diagrams illustrate traits to look for or to avoid, and define correct and incorrect legs and feet.
